Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. As a QA Engineer at KloudMate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative observability platform. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing tests to identify defects and ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and technical specifications.
Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using our bug tracking system, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand product features and provide timely feedback on potential issues.
Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.
Potentially contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts (depending on experience and skills).
Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in software quality assurance.
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, concepts, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience in creating and executing test plans and test cases for web-based applications.
Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience testing observability platforms or monitoring tools.
Exposure to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Experience with Monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Zabbix, Nagios)
Experience with any cloud provider’s monitoring service (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Monitoring)
Experience with metrics, logs, or traces in QA role
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, Zipkin
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
